Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This policy explains what data Zero GPT collects, how we use it — including when you submit content for AI detection — and how we keep it safe.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials via Supabase Auth (email/password), or, if you choose "Continue with Google," basic profile information Google provides under its standard sign-in scopes — typically your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not request any extended Google permissions.
  • Submitted Content: Text, images, and video you submit for detection analysis. If signed in, a short preview of submitted text (up to 200 characters) and your result summary are stored in your scan history; signed-out users have no persistent history.
  • Usage Data: Which tools you use and how often, for enforcing free-scan limits and improving the product.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
  • Device & Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and a first-party cookie used to track free-scan usage for signed-out visitors.

2. How Submitted Content Is Processed — We Do NOT Train AI Models On Your Data

  • Zero GPT does not build, own, or train any AI models. We do not use the text, images, or video you submit to train any model, ours or anyone else's, and we do not retain your submitted content for training purposes on our end.
  • Instead, your content is sent in real time to specialized third-party detection APIs to generate your result: the Zero GPT Detection API (text and video analysis), Sightengine (image analysis), LanguageTool (grammar analysis), and GoWinston.ai (plagiarism analysis).
  • Each request is a one-time analysis call, not a data contribution to a training set on our side. We do not control how these third-party providers handle data once it reaches their systems; we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you have concerns about sensitive content.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To perform the detection analysis you request and return results.
  • To manage your account, process payments, and provide support.
  • To enforce free-scan limits and subscription entitlements.
  • To improve our platform's features, reliability, and user experience.
  • To send service-related communications (receipts, support responses).
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We share data with providers who help operate the platform: Supabase (database and authentication), Google (if you use Google sign-in), Stripe (payments), the Zero GPT Detection API, Sightengine, LanguageTool, and GoWinston.ai (content analysis — see Section 2), and Vercel (hosting). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data-processing terms.
  • We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect our rights or comply with legal process.

5. Data Retention

  • Your account data and scan history are stored in our Supabase database and are retained for as long as your account remains active — there is no automatic expiry period.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting team@zerogpt.live. Upon a verified deletion request, we will remove your account data and scan history, subject to any legal retention obligations we may have.

6. Security

  • We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), row-level database access controls, and access-key safeguards — to protect your data.
  • No method of internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Contact team@zerogpt.live to exercise any of these rights.

8. Cookies

  • We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to track free-scan usage for signed-out visitors. We do not currently use advertising or analytics/tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

  • Zero GPT is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
