How the AI Image Detector Works
Your image is sent to a third-party image-analysis provider, which returns two separate scores: one for AI generation and one for face manipulation. A photo with an altered face can score on the second even when it isn’t fully AI-generated.
AI-Generation Score
The provider’s model estimates how likely the whole image is to be AI-generated. It doesn’t say which generator was used.
Face-Manipulation Score
A separate score estimates whether a face in the image was swapped or synthetically altered. Images without a clear face give little signal here.
